Chakras, often characterised as whirling disks of energy within our body. There are 7 main Chakras running from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head.
Each Chakra is aligned individually to our emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual self. A good comprehension of these energy centres can help to understand, harmonise and support our overall health & wellbeing.
It is not uncommon for you to become emotional or tearful during or after practising Yoga, this is completely natural and can be due to the realignment, opening up and unblocking of your Chakras.
The Asanas pictured above are a fantastic way to realign tension and stress in the body through deep detoxifying movement and stillness.
